Our studio is a 750 sqft space with full bathroom, raised producer/client area, and outdoor patio. The open loft studio consists of a 15x20 corner cyclorama and 14ft high ceilings. There is a 16x30ft full grid overhead for all lighting and rigging needs. It is basement level with easy access through a freight elevator or single flight of stairs.
Coffee, WIFI, and dog attention are all included in rental cost. (We’re pet friendly if you want to bring your friends!)
Our cyc studio’s base rate is 100/hour. If your production involves a lot of people we also rent out the upstairs apartment for holding and whatever else you need for 200/hour. Half day (6hr) is $550 and a full day (12hr) rental is $1000.
We welcome all memberships, which gives you 8 hours a month for $600 and 50/hour after that. However we ask that members pre-pay for the first 3 months on signing.
Young & Grumpy’s goal is to make high end production affordable. We’ve compared our facilities to many other studios in the New York City area and we think our prices are as affordable as we can get and still cover our costs. That being said we’re here for you when you’re in a pinch. If your project is on a low budget, talk to us. Tell us about it and your situation and we promise to do what we can to make it work.
